The American Heart Association PALS Renewal class option is ONLY for students that have a current, non-expired American Heart Association PALS certification. Certifications from any other organization (such as ARC, ASHI, etc) are not accepted. All AHA certifications are valid for renewal for 2 years through the whole month the course was taken. DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS OPTION IF YOUR CERTIFICATION IS EXPIRED!

Who typically takes PALS classes?

This class is for healthcare providers working or planning to work in an pediatric critical care area such as the ER, PICU, & other specialty pediatric units or step-down units.

What concepts does the AHA PALS class cover?

The class covers recognition and management of respiratory emergencies, shock emergencies such as hypovolemic shock, distributive shockobstructive shockcardiogenic shock as well as cardiac emergencies, and pharmacology. Additionally, the class covers effective communication as a team member and leader of a resuscitation attempt.

When do I get my official certification?

Your official AHA certification is issued at the end of your class so you have it before you leave our office!

How long is my AHA certification valid?

Your AHA certification is valid for a period of two (2) years. All AHA certifications are valid through the entire month in which the class was taken.

Is there an online only option for the American Heart Association classes?

No. The American Heart Association requires hands-on skills be performed in front of an instructor. There is a hybrid option where you can complete the course online and only come in to demonstrate your skills (see AHA Skills Sessions – Heartcode Part 2). The hybrid option is NOT recommended for first time students.

How do I register?

You can register for any of our classes online 24/7 using one of the links above. We don’t take reservations over the phone or accept walk-ins. We have limited seating for our classes so recommend registering early!
