The Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) course is for healthcare providers who work in an area that is responsible for the anticipated resuscitation of the newborn. You must purchase and complete the NRP course from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) NRP Platform prior to registering for the NRP skills check-off.

The NRP 8th edition offers two new levels of learning: NRP Essentials and NRP Advanced. The NRP Essentials course covers lessons 1-4 of the NRP 8th Editiion textbook and the NRP Advanced course, which covers lessons 1-11. The NRP Essentials course is for anyone who is involved in the care of a newborn. The NRP Advanced is appropriate for those who attend births and are responsible for resuscitation of a newborn, and for those who participate in neonatal resuscitation beyond positive pressure ventilation. If a healthcare professional is unsure about which level to take, then you should take the NRP Advanced Course.
After completion of Part 1, you have 90 days complete Part 2 (the hands-on skills check-off). There are NO exceptions (this is a requirement by the American Academy of Pediatrics!). Our classes fill up VERY quickly so we recommend you register as soon as you complete the online course to reserve your spot. You must complete the payment to reserve your seat – registrations through the NRP platform are not confirmed until payment is received. Online registration closes 24 hours prior to class start OR when the class is full.
