NRP Skills Sessions: A Crucial Component of Neonatal Care Training for Healthcare Providers

As a healthcare provider, the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an essential training program that equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to provide life-saving care to newborns. NRP skills training is especially crucial for healthcare professionals who work in labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care units, and emergency departments and many healthcare facilities require NRP certification for their staff.

If you’re searching for NRP skills training, you’re in the right place! Our office, conveniently located in Longwood, FL (near Orlando, FL) offers comprehensive NRP skills training designed to help you master the essential and advanced skills needed to provide effective neonatal resuscitation care.

Before you can complete your hands-on skills training, all students are first required to complete the online portion of the class which must be purchased and completed through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and features interactive content and quizzes to reinforce your learning. The two options for the online training are either Essential or Advanced – if you aren’t sure which to take, it is recommended that you take the Advanced option which includes an online, open book exam. For more information about the two options, you can visit the AAP site or contact us. IMPORTANT: You only have 90 days from completion of the online course to purchase and complete your in-person skills session! If you do not complete it within this time frame, the online portion must be purchased and repeated so make sure you schedule your in-person skills session ASAP after completing the online course! The in-person NRP skills sessions are hands-on and practical, allowing you to practice your skills and in a safe learning environment.

NOTE: You are required to pay AAP directly for the online course. The NRP Skills Sessions are offered at a separate cost ($100 per person) which includes the in-person skills check-off and your certification.

Within 24-48 hours of completing your NRP Skills Session at our office in Longwood, FL (near Orlando, FL), your American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) NRP certification that’s recognized by healthcare facilities across the country will be accessible to you within your AAP Learning Platform account. This certification is valid for two years and our classes are perfect for first time students or renewing students to help you maintain your skills and stay current with the latest guidelines and recommendations.
